On the other side of the ledger, I'm wondering about the demographics of the military. I mean no disrespect, and I don't pretend to any knowledge or expertise on the military, so don't bite off my head and crap down my neck-hole on this one, OK? I'm asking if there is any efficacy to this impression/concern that I will confess has crossed my mind and that I have heard expressed by others:

The impression is that there is a substantial portion of out armed forces who are either African-American or Hispanic-Americans and the concern is that they might not have much sympathy for the white Anglo-Saxon good ole boys in the general populace that some of the folks that are currently running the circus may regard as "subversive" or "unreliable" and in need of disarming, close supervision, and perhaps even re-education.

So what say those of you who do have the requisite knowledge, experience and perspective about this?

Hey Dorm,
My Son's MP unit at FT Bragg had a standard ratio of folks from what I saw the last time I was down there to visit in October. As we drove around the base it did not seem to be disproportionate. Although there are a few folks that are So out of the closet now.

They'll do some robbing and raping, but after the initial orgy of violence splinter back into gangs. The areas around the military bases I recall were ghetto enough no one may notice a difference.

Civil Unrest likely?

Postby scrubber3 » Wed, 20 Nov 2013 00:07:23

Well over 90% of our actual ground infantry is white. Nearly all of our tier 1 warfighters are white constitution loving, bible thumping, Obama hating sumbiches that'll cram any order dictating they turn on civilians back down the throat of the person that gave them. Those segments of our military shouldn't be a worry(save for a few divisions that may be segmented differently). I feel it's the DHS and the likes that you really have to worry about. They'll take the helm and start pushing the military units that'll listen against the citizens. Just look at what they've started stockpiling and the wheeled APCs they've got. Not to mention the numbers now. It's ridiculous how many people are employed with the DHS.

Transportation and communication are going to be cut off. Food and water shortages will follow soon after. Fuel and other resources will be controlled by POTUS as he has already signed that into an executive order. Any resistance will be waited out so long as they can hold the line. Things have to be done quickly. Unfortunately, it'll take too long for anyone to put anything together to counter this and hunger and thirst will bring people to the gates begging to be let in. Think about who can use drone strikes on civis now.... Remember that executive order? Who do you think will be controlling the skies? How could anyone farm or raise livestock with drones overhead?

Obamacare is the ship that's bringing this here to our shore. Who cares if the website doesn't work. It's law and it'll cause everyone to be oblivious to what's happening right under our noses. A systematically orchestrated disembowelment of our constitution by means of martial law and civil unrest. The machine is running.... Hopefully good men and women standing right next to it will wake up and pull the plug before it gets too much inertia.

I know I've rambled here, but Tag is right on the money. Just look around. Mcauliffe becoming our governor will basically mean that VA(FEMA region III) will all but roll over on its back. This state, just like during the civil war will be ground zero for things to come.

Now that I've made myself a target for the black van..... Let me just state that I'm just kidding around and basically throwing ideas for a good movie plot. Seriously..... Wouldn't it be a good movie? To make a modern rendition of how a dictator would take over America. It doesn't seem so far fetched and the audience would certainly feel as if it could really happen.
I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

Don't be surprised! Regular media, both paper and TV are starting to notice the guv'mint's outta control.

I don't own land. I should, but considering I have State and Federal Government dictating what I can do with it. Plus, They can confiscate it thru Eminent Domain thru their kangaroo court. Plus, they can TRACK you TO it!

I dig being that "loose thread" without any "ties".

Makes me dangerous. I like to think for myself, be mobile, chuck tha' electronics, go all "invisible" on their azzes, make 'em wonder!

You catch me? Put me in a prison camp? I'm gonna make "The Great Escape" with Steve McQueen look like a training film. Kill me? I'll f'ckin' HAUNT yer azzes! "Booo! I'm the scary ghost of a Jeeeeewwww!"

I kid... but that does make them a lil' nervous. I pay my taxes, I don't break laws, I keep my head down on social media (other than this forum), and I shake the rafters politely. Until it's time to NOT ...be ... polite. (cracks knuckles)

As to the soldiers? There is a reason "Oathkeepers" was started, and from what I heard? They're cracking down on OPENLY proud OK's.

At some point the cops will ask themselves if it worth to defend their masters, like now in Ukraine:

Rev I could see doing that if it was me and my husband. I am blessed with children so I think for the time being it would be wise for us to have land outside of the major urban/suburban zones and off the beaten path just a bit. If everything stays the way it is and we don't have any major explosions I could see trying to get land 1 gas of tank away in a different state, then another tank of gas away. Little plots of land with small sheds on them for weigh points to eat and sleep to make my way to TX (the place I think will be able to hold off the tyranny the best. But that is a loooong way off.

Kelu, I sure hope you are right!

It's best to be where you want to be when it goes down. Rather than spin the wheel of fate.... No matter where I am, I'll have the good lord with me and will accept my fate like a man. Though I will go down in a pile of empty brass or at least make one heck of a brass trail.

Yep, well if VA gets its act together I like the climate much better here. If VA goes the way of Maryland in an unrecoverable fashion then we will make our escape.

Maybe you should think about Tennessee (from Knoxville east) and/or upcountry South Carolina. Closer. Similar culture and political climate, and a more pleasant climate and geography.

TN is my MAIN view at this point! Extremely Pro-gun, I don't think they have a state income tax, not sure about personal property, but I know Bristol is looking better, and better, with similar climates.

Then again, I'm looking at a BTR-60 Russian Amphibious Personnel Carrier for $15k, to refurbish as an "R-V".

Anyone see "Stripes"? Yeaaaaahh.

Sounds good....Perhaps a place in the mountains would be just the thing for a "vacation home". If all the nonsense stays at a low level in a few years perhaps we could buy a few acres and put an off grid cabin.

Sad thing is I know that will take 10 years minimum. I don't know that we have that long.

Probably not.
Thus, we are seeing this patter in Ukraine and rising civil unrest in Europe. This trend will eventually hit the USA starting as early as 2016.
