Of course it didnt...S&P and Moodys both pretty much said a solid $4T in cuts was needed to avoid this...no one paid any attention...they will now..

Blaming the Tea Party is hilarious!

Credit raters say you need to spend much less money by instituting substantial and real cuts. Tea Party pushes for substantial and real cuts, but Democrats oppose them while the Republican leadership sells them out and yet it's their fault?

I don't know about the Tea Party smoking tea rather than drinking it as Axelrod suggests, but I know for certain that what he's smoking isn't "tea."

I agree with the post that we should send them all home! The fed'l gov't is broken and the Tea Party just wants to fix it. Not a problem. The persons in power don't want to fix it because everything is working for them-- more money and power.
