MuzzleloadersI have been shooting muzzleloaders since 1993 when I killed my first buck with a TC Renegade in .54 cal. I have since owned several Thompson Centers and now have more White muzzys than TC's. I average two deer a year with them and have taken several squirrels and one turkey with the shotgun. My centerfire rifles and shotguns don't get the same attention anymore...

Re: MuzzleloadersI know what you mean. I don't think that I ever shot at a deer over 125 yds and the MZ can handle that just fine.
Nevertheless, I love my Savage 110 and the shotgun is a must when hunting with dogs. *****************************************************************************

Re: MuzzleloadersWas watching a show yesterday and a fellow had an ad for "white powder"..... It was in pellet form, much like the 777 pellets ,only white. What's the scope. I shoot 777 pellet form in my TC Encore and like the stuff, but always willing to switch up if it's worth it
On ,in reading ya'lls post, my TC is also my weapon of choice in the deer woods, smokepole that it, I do have a 270 cal barrel I can put on...but mostly stay with the muzzleloader, it's hard to beat!Enjoy the Journey

Re: MuzzleloadersThe "white stuff" is IMR's answer to Hodgon's 777. I haven't seen it on shelves yet.
Re: Muzzleloaders
Franklin Outdoors (in Rocky Mount) has some on the shelves the other week. I shoot a .45 Encore so I didn't think much of it.
Re: MuzzleloadersSo, does that mean you tried it and did not like it or they only had it in 50 pellets
Just wondering how it preforms as compared to the 777 pellets.Enjoy the Journey

Re: Muzzleloaders
Soon as I get some I'll let ya know how it performs. ![]()
Re: MuzzleloadersBass Pro generally has it, too. I tried it & didn't see much difference. It actually seemed to be harder to clean out, like it burned into the metal or something.
