Sterling Arsenal - Armorer

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

Sterling Arsenal - Armorer

Postby CK1 » Sun, 21 Aug 2011 23:20:33

After seeing the email for the contest to give away an AR I was reminded that I never came back here to VGOF to report back on my experience at Sterling Arsenal.

I think that it's only fair that I do considering that VGOF is where I originally found out about them. I wanted to an armorer close to my house that could change out a barrel on my AR.

I took my rig into Sterling and they quickly determined that my flash hider wasn't going to work with the new barrel I had provided them. Rather than call me up and tell it wasn't going to work or try and sell me more parts, they took the initiative and used their contacts and called the manuf. of my flash hider and worked an exchange deal so that I ended up with the exact hider I wanted and was out-of-pocket no extra money at all.

The pin & weld work on the barrel was quality work, the rifle was done when they said and the total was the same as what they quoted. No B.S. No extras.

And I got to handle some nice handguns when I went in there to pick up my piece without looking over a glass case. I like that!

I'll probably go back there to pick up my next handgun. Especially considering they will modify any 1911 to your liking.

Thanks guys.

Wow very cool of them to swap out the parts for you. The handguns aren't cased? That would be nice I always prefer to handle them can a good feel for all of the guns.

Yeah, these guys are alright.

Heads up. It is a an odd feel when you go there. You have to pass through another shop (different business) that they share the space with and then you go in to the back shop and then up to the loft where they are. So it's not like a gun store really.

But once you're up there the guys @ Sterling Arsenal take no time making sure you feel comfortable there. Go check it out.

Agree with CK1 on his comment. Super place though and really good guys to work with. Found my new FFL transfers dealer for sure! After looking over and actually having their AR based builds in my hands, they indeed do some great work.

I just bought a SAR XV Gladius from them and hands down the best customer service of anywhere else I have been. They dealt with my total lack of knowledge of the AR platform and walked me thru breaking the gun down and reassembling it. Everyone in the shop is awesome and will be buying my next firearm from them.
