In Review: Greentop Sporting Goods & DeGoff's

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

Salesman was helpful as could be, brought me over to an uncrowded counter to handle--even disassemble the Glock. In the end, $599 for the Glock and it came with night sights.

I love going down there for a day's shopping. First Greentop, then Gander, and finally Bass Pro (and its excellent seafood restaurant for lunch/dinner). Too bad they don't have a range, then I'd probably go every weekend!

L

I wish I lived a little closer to Richmond and I would also do the Bass Pro trip. Gander is pretty close but they are merely a mom and pop operation compared to the super store on down the road. Good to know they've got a nice restaurant. Every time I go by there when they are open for business Young is with me and for some reason doesnt care to stop...

The restaurant is the only thing Bass Pro has going for them. The prices in the store are outragous. I did have a chance to talk to a guy behind the gun counter and he knew about guns what I know about brain surgery. If I need anything gun related I skip Gander Mountain and bass Pro and just go straight to DeGoff's.

Well, I hear some guy does some gun classes up there. He's probably not very good though.

I've had mixed experiences at Greentop. It is always crowded when I'm there so that could account for some of the poor service. I did have a helpful older gentleman who set me up with my LCP.

Although in general I don't like the attitude at Greentop, I have been to much worse stores.

He could very well be the only one there that knows what end of the gun the bullet comes out of. :hysterical: Jim why don't you learn those guys behind the counter something ?

My favorite bass Pro quote " Ruger LCP's are nothing but junk, just a glorified Keltec."
" We have 57 people on a waiting list for them."
