I just picked up my VA CHP last week and for several reasons I have yet to leave the house armed since I moved here the last week of May.
One reason being I'm living in a house with a C'ville LEO and she and my daughter would NOT take kindly to me getting into a situation (even if I were in the right) with the local constabulary.

Who cares what your LEO neighbor or the locals THINK! It's your right, do as you wish. Not OCing because you might "hurt someones feelings" is what screwed up my home state (MA). It's still completely legal, but do it and see what happens. If your not in a Country or Rural area....all hell breaks loose! The ONLY reason it's like that is because people just stopped doing it for so many years now it looks weird to people when someone does. In the 3 years I've been in VA I'm seeing more and more of the stuff and mentality towards guns that happened in MA and it scares the crap out of me, don't think your just one person and your actions don't matter. THEY DO!

Yep a right unexercised is a right lost.
