Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

I am sitting here thinking about another get together and shoot for this year 2011 and would like some input for things like Date and number of day's. I think last year was a little late as it was so damn hot out, I was thinking about early April or mid April. Ok let's see how many people are intrested.

P.S. the steel targets have all been changed to a 45 degree slant at Garrets suggestion so that over 90% of the back splash has been eliminated. I have shot my .40 cal. Glock as close as 5 yards without a problem.

Well let me know and we will see if it will happen this year again.

By the way, this would be near Keysville, VA, for those not familiar with SgtBill's place. We had a shoot and greet there last year and it was a great time, though it was a little HOT in the summer for such a gathering, thus the change to Spring this year.

I am in if not out of town again. only have plans to go o NRA convention in Pittsburg on April 29 - May 1, 2011 and I believe Easter Sunday is on April 24th.

Easter and Turkey season... Maybe early May would be better?

I'm new here to VGOF however, would love to greet and meet fellow enthusiast. I need to know what the limit of equipment I can bring is. What kinds of loads, what range, targets, ect..... I just want to come prepared to lock and rock! If I'm invited, don't want to be a nuisance. I can make myself available with a few weeks notice. Thank you, JJS

Couldn't make the last one due to work issues, but I'd like to make this next one. As long as there's enough advance notice so I can get a day or two off from work (3.5 hr drive each way), pretty much any weekend ought to be fine.

Not too far from Roanoke! My luck this will be the weekend in that time frame (late April/early May) my son gets baptized and my folks come down from NY....so I'd miss out. Otherwise I'd love to come if welcome. I'll bring fancy sissy liberal food if anyone wanted it...or good beer otherwise.
