weather.gov says

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 68. East wind between 3 and 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Looking at the charts, it looks like a very light drizzle all day.

A warm front is presently passing thru Southern VA. Behind it will be rain SHOWERS (not continuous) and INTERMITTENT thunderstorms. Both of those means plenty of breaks to shoot during.

Behind that is a cold front and clearer sky's with after it's passage. This is not until early AM Sun.

Summary: My guns and I are not afraid of rain. I go. With dry firewood and cold beer, as well as good company I score this a positive experience. Sunday will be pretty damned nice for shooting, and I can stick around all day. You people who require hotel/motels have even less reason to be apprehensive. You will sleep dry as a bone.

I'll be heading that way in the morning regardless of the weather.

I know there's a lean-to on one end of Bill's garage. Will we have the canopy like last year for the other end of the garage?

Me and my group are still going as well. We don't get to shoot outdoors often or shoot some really cool guns often. So rain or shine I'm there. See yall 9AM :coffee:

I had a blast it was very fun to see familiar faces and meet some new ones as well. Everyone in my group wants to say the night next year! Thanks again Bill! Also thanks to all who let me shoot some very cool guns and of course Rick for creating the forum in the first place!

PS: I'm editing together my video and pictures. Should be done by next week this time or sooner.

Hey Bill, Thanks for the opportunity to visit and fire a few rounds. Please thank Bill Jr. for the work he did to my weapon. I think I have found out why the mags keep dropping, at least all of them but one. I went to the range today and changed how I gripped the weapon. I fired 100 rounds out of three mags and the only one that would drop out was the used one I bought. All the others worked fine today.

I am looking forward to visiting Lake Hurley again!

What a wonderful time! Met many great folks, shot some cool guns and didn't get all that wet! Looking forward to next year already and hopefully drier weather! Will camp out for sure next time if it stays dry.

Thanks to Bill and Bill Jr. especially for all they did and do to put this on. Hopefully the aftermath is not all that bad (torn up lawn, thrashed steel targets, thrashed target hangers, etc.) Thanks to Rick for the forum and looking forward to seeing everyone next time!
