I find it amusing that it only took a couple of comments before it degraded into "white militia" and racism though.

I didn't see "white militia" mentioned anywhere in Kaili's paper. Could you point that out?

Hey, that's what "progressives" are all about, fear of the other. They deny it nowadays but it still undergirds their worldview.

It's ironic you cite that, since the very motive of most white "gun nuts" now in this country is to arm themselves AGAINST black folks, and for many of them, to prepare for the uprising where good white "Christians" take their purportedly white Christian exceptionalist country back from the "mud people" and the Libruls. I also understand the racial motivation of the "white militia", this is a reason that I don't want them to be the only ones armed. These folks historically have taken defending their rights into lynching black folks. The same way defending traditional marriage to them is discriminating against gay folks.

Black folks using guns just brings more white folks with more and bigger guns. Just ask the Black Panthers. Or Cory Maye.

Funny how white people owning guns is a great travesty, but black people using their guns for terrorism or gang related violence is a just cause that the white people break up with their bigger guns.

In light of the shooting at the Unitarian Church in Knoxville, TN, that maybe liberals needed to be prepared for when more people on the right lost their minds. The conservatives I knew went apeshit at that suggestion. I honestly don't think they want everyone carrying guns--they want them for themselves so that they can be ready for when the world comes to an end, but they also don't want everyone else to have them so that they can be dominant.

I guess all gun owners are: white, conservative, apocalyptic nut jobs out to kill everyone when the time is right. Now I have a sense of direction and purpose!

It degrades from here on out. Just in case someone really thick-headed didn't figure it out, I'm being sarcastic. I wasn't going to post this dribble here, but since I was asked, I did. There are other insightful comments (real ones), but they are overshadowed by idiots like this.
