Virginia's Brady Bunch Rating

Postby SHMIV » Sun, 19 Feb 2012 17:53:47

http://www.bradycampaign.org/stategunlaws/scorecard/VA

We have 88 points (and 4 stars) towards gun freedom.

Comparing the map to the color legend, the bulk of the states are red, indicating a higher amount of freedom. We fall into the grey color, but that's no where near as bad as dark blue, which is where California sits.

Clearly we have much work to do. I won't be happy until VA is down in Brady's...

Honestly a little offended by this, why isn't VA as red as the blood that no doubt runs in rivers down our roads since I can buy a gun without any government oversight from a private seller?

I saw Alaska has 0 points, wtf? We're losing to some moose humping frostbacks?

Sad sad sad.

Looking at the entire chart, the best we can do is a -4, since they offer "demerit" points.

I'm shooting for the -4. (Punny? Nahh...)

Those moose-humping frostbacks have Constitutional carry. That's a winner no matter who you are.

They must have rivers of blood running down the streets of Alaska :dunno:

You mean slushies of blood slowly oozing down the streets?

Didnt know AK had CC, to me even the CHP I have from VA is mind bogglingly freedom loving.

Constitutional carry in VA, HB139, is dead for this session at a minimum. It's essentially the victim of a 'pocket veto' from the house mpps committee chairman, supposedly at the direction of the speaker.

With California's "high" rating of 81, they must be virtually crime-free. Do they even have a need for prisons?

I'm still trying to figure out why we even care what the "Brady Bunch" thinks.
Why wouldn't you hold up the targets for me? It's a 9mm.

I don't give a purple damn what the Brady Bunch thinks. It's the political pull, that they may or may not have,
that concerns me. I view them as an opponent, and I feel that it is a good idea to know what your opponent is up to.

Also, in doing this whole point and star nonsense, the Brady Bunch has conveniently pin pointed the spots that infringe upon our 2A rights, and gives us clear targets to set our sights (or our representatives sights) upon. So to speak...

I wonder if they know or just don't care. California really has almost 20 points less due to lawsuits that have overturned some laws, or some that are just wrong.
It just shows that they'll lie to make their false point.

I think the stars are rated at the hands fluttering speed, if it's so fast, it sounds like humming bird wings? That means it's BAD! And you get 0 stars!

I don't think it's a good idea to put that online. WHO KNOWS who's checking? I love big-caliber and longe-range rifles and 1911 pistols, and I've got a few.

I can always use another 1911.
