I'd say whoever made that map doesn't know much about Virginia overall. It ain't plumb wrong, but it's a long way from being correct. It is a damned shame what the people who came to NoVa and Tidewater have done to the Virginia that the folks who were born there had.

absolutely, quit riding in the "PASSING LANE". it drives me nuts when you have someone going 5miles under in the left lane.

as for the carpetbaggers,. i refer them as half backs. too cold up north , so they move to FL. too damn hot in FL, so they move half way back usually puts them in my area

UH-OH! THAT reminds me of a story. An inappropriate, but funny story:

Seems Joe had lived all his life in Maine. Then one day in the middle of the winter he decided he’d just had all the snow and ice he could stand, and he packed up to head south. Before he left, he tied a pair of snowshoes on top of his car. He told his best buddy Fred that he was going to drive south until somebody asked him what them things were on top of his car.

In about 8-10 days, Joe called Fred and told him he’d settled down in South Georgia. The weather, Joe said, was wonderful and nobody down there knew what a snowshoe was. Joe gave Fred his address and told him to come on down and visit with him the next weekend.

When Fred rolled up in front of Joe’s place in the trailer park, Joe didn’t seem to be home. His car was gone and nobody answered to door no matter how hard he knocked. Finally, the next door neighbor came out and told Fred that Joe had packed up and left a day or two ago.

“Where was he going?” asked Fred.

“He wouldn’t say,” replied the neighbor, “but he was headed north and he had a black dude strapped on top of his car.”

Is this story racist? I submit it is not. It’s ABOUT a yankee who didn’t know he was a racist until after he met somebody but other Yankees. Joe was probably one of those guys who drives 64.5 miles per hour in the showoff lane, too.

I reckon there's no use trying to deny it.

I do have a deep-seated racial bias about a group I was raised to consider inferior to my own kind ............

and I can't help it ........

even though occasionally I must admit I run across one that doesn't seem too bad .........

I still have a deep-seated cultural bias against them .........
