So the NRA is spending 100% of its advertising and get-out-the-vote dollars on the GOP. Will the GOP respond in kind in the next Congress by pushing forward with national concealed-carry reciprocity or other initiatives? Only time will tell, but past experience with the GOP says they only care about our gun rights before the election, not after it.

I note that the NEA has an equally "lopsided" percentage of its dollars going toward Democratic candidates (100%). Furthermore, there are organizations that contribute much more dollars than the NRA or the NEA (e. g. US Chamber of Commerce). But does Mr. Morrissey's "grabber" headline say that? Nooooo, it doesn't. Does his "grabber" headline call out the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees? Nooooo, it doesn't. Does it even call out the Chamber of Commerce? Noooo, it doesn't!

The NRA leadership is definitely not perfect, but this guy's anti-gun bias is obvious.

National CC reciprocity got a vote in the Senate last year - lost by 2 votes. http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=111&session=1&vote=00237

Yes, with one RHINO voting against it. But they were in the minority then. There is a difference between pressuring votes as the minority party and actually attempting to make them law as the majority party. The GOP tends to use gun rights as a wedge issue to split Democratic Party. We'll know they are serious if they attempt this again when there is an actual chance of it passing. Until then, I do not believe they are truly serious about gun rights.

sort of reminds me of aa quote from the movie American President-

I've known Bob Rumson for years, and I've been operating under the assumption that the reason Bob devotes so much time and energy to shouting at the rain was that he simply didn't get it. Well, I was wrong. Bob's problem isn't that he doesn't get it. Bob's problem is that he can't sell it! We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you, Bob Rumson is not the least bit interested in solving it. He is interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections.

The fact of the matter is that most politicians could truly give a crap about gun rights or any other issue. To them, "issues" are merely means for them to gain votes, power, and money for themselves or deny it to their foes. Very few politicians truly care...and, the ones that do rarely ever gain traction...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...
