I note that the NEA has an equally "lopsided" percentage of its dollars going toward Democratic candidates (100%). Furthermore, there are organizations that contribute much more dollars than the NRA or the NEA (e. g. US Chamber of Commerce). But does Mr. Morrissey's "grabber" headline say that? Nooooo, it doesn't. Does his "grabber" headline call out the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees? Nooooo, it doesn't. Does it even call out the Chamber of Commerce? Noooo, it doesn't!
The NRA leadership is definitely not perfect, but this guy's anti-gun bias is obvious.

Will the GOP respond in kind in the next Congress by pushing forward with national concealed-carry reciprocity or other initiatives? Only time will tell, but past experience with the GOP says they only care about our gun rights before the election, not after it.
National CC reciprocity got a vote in the Senate last year - lost by 2 votes. http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=111&session=1&vote=00237

LFS wrote:Yes, with one RHINO voting against it. But they were in the minority then. There is a difference between pressuring votes as the minority party and actually attempting to make them law as the majority party. The GOP tends to use gun rights as a wedge issue to split Democratic Party. We'll know they are serious if they attempt this again when there is an actual chance of it passing. Until then, I do not believe they are truly serious about gun rights.
