That means it is a slow news day so they had to make some up. Besides, perhaps the power of suggestion will be enough to make it true! The belief that modern medicine is far more effective than it actually is has led to increasing response rates in the controls for double blind tests. I.e. when given sugar pills more and more people think they have been given a real drug and experience good changes in their condition.
