'Sons of Guns' has ATF Problems

Postby Chasbo00 » Fri, 23 Dec 2011 21:55:17

The star of the Discovery reality show "Sons of Guns" has been forced to surrender his Federal Firearm License after government officials discovered a bunch of his weapons had mysteriously gone missing ... TMZ has learned.

The man caught in the crosshairs is a famous gunsmith named William Hayden -- who founded Red Jacket Firearms in Baton Rouge Louisiana ... and hired his daughter Stephanie to help run the business.

Things went swimmingly until 2009 ... when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms conducted a routine inspection of RJF and discovered 10 guns registered to the company could not be accounted for ... a big, BIG problem.

We're told the feds pinned the blame on William and Stephanie -- and were looking to take serious action that could have resulted in the end of RJF.

Lots of interesting stuff here and I just typed this out for a friend so I figured I would repost the summary here.

Red Jacket Firearms LLC is NOT owned by Steph or Will. William originally owned Red Jacket Firearms INC(this inc is important) but in 2009 they had their license(FFL) revoked due to some missing guns. So 3 of the employees Vince, Joe, and Charley formed Red Jacket Firearms LLC(note the LLC) and they are the owners. Steph and Will are the employees. Now Vince is leaving and his share of the company was bought out and he is forming his own company, Mesa Kinetic Research. And then as if all this craziness is not enough Red Jacket LLC is being sued by and investor claiming he isn't getting his money about he invested in the Red Jacket INC and all of the assets were then moved to Red Jacket LLC.

Here are the links:

Here is the story about them losing their FFL:

Here is another link about that:

Here is a link to Vince's new company:

Here is the link about the lawsuit:

And here is the forum were I gathered this info(very confusing):
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/126781 ... tml&page=1

PS Keep in mind the show is way behind real life so it could be awhile before you see this one TV.

PS PS I hate this show. Makes the gun community look bad. But on the flip side maybe it will spark someones interest into guns.

Never initiate force against another. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.KYFHO

I'll never understand the attraction some people feel to make complete asses of themselves just so they can be on the Tee-Vee. :dunno:

My opinion of William Hayden is that he's a legend in his own mind. Even if his daughter is cuter than a box of puppies.

Money.

Hayden is making bank from this show - both from the show itself and from what the exposure brings with it.

Something smells with this lawsuit.
The url at the bottom. Is the Louisiana Corporation website. Showing the records for Red Jacket Inc.
If you take a look at the amendments at the bottom of the page you'll see that yes Red Jacket Inc. started in 1999.
You'll also notice that on 8/16/2005 it was revoked and didn't restart until 10/3/2007. At this point the only name on the Corp is William Hayden.
This tells me that Red Jacket Inc. became insolvent in 2005 and restarted in 2007, in which case Mr. Radfords stock has been worthless going on 6 years now.
Can you say Discovery Chanel and they might just settle to keep me and the bad press quiet?

Hmm :first:
