I don't think it's a good idea to put that online. WHO KNOWS who's checking? I love big-caliber and longe-range rifles and 1911 pistols, and I've got a few.

Next Firearm:
I can always use another 1911.

Seriously, if "the news" suddenly reported that the entire DC City council was made up of Vampiric Baby Killing Satanists, would ANYone be surprised? I am certain that there are folks within the DC City Government that are kind, honest people. However, I am also certain they are chained in the basement of the "D.C. National Aquarium."

I didn't expect anyone to be shocked or surprised. I intended it as a confirmation of what everyone knew was inevitable.

If I were to list all the reasons that I never wish to so much as set foot in DC, I believe that it would take several notebooks.

the douchery of D.C. knows no bounds...

Technically, it's part of VA, and MD... If we hadn't federally exempt them from either state, what a mess THAT would have been!

Spiteful bastards I guess. I really hope whatever defenseless vagrant the cops took their frustrations out on after losing this fight covered his head well.

I think Kim should agree to not file a civil suit, provided the department lets him personally engrave penises and other embarassing/obscene images or phrases all over the duty weapons of those who made the engravings and the chief for not making sure proper procedure was followed. Seems fair in my eyes :)

It amounts to willful mischief. Same thing as keying someone's car. Actually, it is more reprehensible than that; because unlike the car parked in a public place, the DC police were in sole and secure possession of someone else's valuable property and chose to damage it. it is persecution of a gun owner because they don't approve of people owning guns. The officers in question should have to pay for the guns.

It's no longer part of either state, which is why it's the District; but Virginia got its part back via retrocession before the War Between the States. It's Alexandria, which probably explains why things are the way they are there.

The demands of my career sometime require me to travel into the district and I cringe a little each time I cross the bridge into it. The thought that if I were to be accosted in our nations capitol that I'd be the bad guy for defending myself with my sidearm makes me want to retch. The law enforcement officers involved in this travesty should be ashamed of themselves.

Actually, the retrocessed area is mostly Arlington County, and just a small bit of the City of Alexandria.
