Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

I'm sitting here thinking about how screwed up things are and spent about 10 minutes making a list that shows how out of control the government is. Let's see if we can make it comprehensive. Please feel free to add to it. Once we're up to a couple of hundred items we'll craft a letter to obama and congress. Here's the start.

Our Government is Out of Control
- Over 30 czars. Unprecedented.
- No vetting. Tax cheats, communists, homosexuals, radicals, etc in the White House.
- Heavy ties to the SEIU. Head of SEIU has over 20 visits to White House since 20 Jan 09.
- Obama’s deficit alone is more than all the previous presidents added together.
- Closed door meetings on health care.
- Bowing to other world leaders.
- Throwing Israel under the bus.
- Dropping the anti missile defense shield over Europe.
- Unprecedented visits to foreign countries.
- Nine months in office and nothing accomplished.
- Calling citizens angry mobs, extremists, anti-government, etc.
- One half the members of congress under ethics investigations.
- Involvement in local issues.
- Failing to recognize terrorist act in Fort Hood shooting.
- Misrepresents stimulus results.
- Threatens to allow federally subsidized abortions after moderate dems voted against in health care package.
- Failed to speak out on ACORN corruption issues.
- Ignored and released perpetrators of voter intimidation.
- Attempted to restrict freedom of press.
- Guarantees conviction in 9-11 trial (even us non-lawyers know you can’t do that)
- Speed reads bills in congress.
- Fails to provide simple documents like birth certificate, college records, etc.
- Takes over private corporations.

- Obama refusing to wear a lapel pin with the United States flag "Because he's too patriotic".
- Attempting to indoctrinate our youth through our schools
- Obama in bed with G.E. and trying to push a green agenda through them

Failure to act as Commander-in Chief of armed forces
Traveling overseas to secure Olympic bid
Failure to salute at Veteran's Day ceremony
Worried more about air-time than running the country
LYING to American people

If I say what I want to say, I will have to come up with yet another new identity and move to Guatemala. I hate Guatemala

-wants a civilian security force as well funded and powerful as the military

It’s a sad thing; I know our founding fathers are turning in their graves. Seems that the Constitution needs to be taught for what it is, rather than what the liberals want it to be. That being said, the government is putting its nose where it does not belong and is ruining us for future generations to come. With all the proposed handouts and what liberals believe they are owed we are watching the dollar turn into nothing but a scrap of paper. The legal law abiding are being treated like un-trustable criminals while the liberals are coming up with more excuses to give the real criminals and low life scum more than they deserve. My question is through all of this is what will happen when they spend us dry with this crap? Something to think about how will things go when they run out of money to pay our Law Enforcement agencies, and our military? What about so many other needed government sectors? As stupid as this administration and the liberals are, they would probably start cutting our needed necessities and not their wasteful ways on the departments that do nothing. I didn’t believe in Y2K, as well I don’t believe in global warming, but I can tell you if crap don’t change, America will be heading to self destruction. Sorry for the rampage, but it’s just my opinion.

Call this a cathartic exercise. I know we are all pretty frustrated. I write when I get that way. Its a good way to get that stuff out of your head. It may help us to get all this out. I think though realistically it will anger some of us by the sheer magnitude of the treason these people are committing on a daily basis. Maybe thats a good thing and will help fuel motivation for a massive march on DC. And yes I do think some of it is indeed treasonous.

Having said that I'd like to get a list together for my own edification. If you know something they've done then spit it out. I'm sure we've already heard about it on Fox, unless you're an Inforwars of Prison Planet fan...

I think this is an excercise in futility. Sooner or later someone will say something that will offend someone, or something that will give a troll something to use as a quote on another board. I wasn't kidding about the "identity" thang, yo... .

The sad thing is that our government has been out of control for a long time - it's just gotten worse by quantum leaps and bounds in the last ~10 months or so...

Even nearly boiling frogs can wake up - I just hope we aren't the only ones awake.

If anyone offers you koolaid...pass it up, ok?

Maybe you're looking for at a national (federal) level, then I would say Kelo... But to me, government is government, and when our elected representatives abuse the powers at their disposal, it's still a problem.

Thats pretty sickening. I'm mainly interested in the national level but examples like this fits too. And you are correct. These are good example to show that elected leaders need to be held accountable. I'll add a couple more:

- Banning certain TVs in California
- Banning cat de-clawing in certain California townships
