Not entirely sure how I feel about this 'expression'

Postby chfaunce » Thu, 14 Oct 2010 12:18:09

I mean, on one hand, I really don't approve of this wasting of the meat of the gods (bacon), but on the other hand... well... I'm a little surprised this didn't happen sooner.

We can only hope it was the cheap stuff, and not the thick, center cut, applewood smoked.... Goddammit, now I want bacon. :hysterical:

I don't see any humour in this. I wonder if it would be so "funny" if it were written with, say, feces on a church's walkway...?

I don't see any humor in the act, either.

The humor element I was inserting (and yes, I'm sure it was inappropriate - inappropriate is pretty much what I do best, btw) was related to the waste of perfectly good bacon, which, I'm pretty sure is a sin somewhere, in some religion.

Maybe someone in SC saw my post on this forum where I said something like 'garlic is to vampires as bacon is to muslims'? Who knows...

"Chump" - thats a word you dont hear too often...

No it wouldnt be funny if it were written in feces on a churches walkway but this is tit for tat...not that I approve of either...but I do wonder if the poop on the sidewalk would make the news...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Inappropriate? Absolutely. Expected? Absolutely.

Remember after the Dutch cartoons all the trouble? The Christian churches being burnt down? The riots? What the Press failed to mention was that there were also cartoons of Christians, especially targeting Catholics. I don't recall hearing about mosques being burnt down in retaliation. Humans crave equity.

I have a Muslim friend (that I would say is more Deist). He always argues that people secure in their faith don't issue fatwas or riot over cartoons. He also thinks the three great monotheistic faiths ought to live in peace understanding we can never be omniscient. Like i said, I think he's more Deist.

Uh-huh. Let's see if you still say that when something similar involves Christian churches.

So I was wondering if people really wanted to stop the "Ground Zero" Mosque/ Community Center, could they just roll in there with a truckload of pigs and cut them loose in the building that is currrently on the site for a couple of days??? It definitely would be non-violent, Vandalism maybe, but no violence...
Of course it is in the last place you looked, your not going to keep looking for something after you've found it.

@Tweaker and grumpyMSG: OK, that was good. :-)

BTW, is that actually a T-shirt somewhere? That's hilarious!
