New addition to the family

Postby DWinter » Sun, 06 Mar 2011 14:00:41

We were finally were able to bring our new baby home after many months of waiting. This is Winchester, an English Black Lab, 8 weeks old with a champion bloodline. His Grandfather was the #1 English Black Lab in the country in 2006. English's are stockier and slightly shorter than their American brothers. I can't wait to get the training going and eventually put some ducks on the table. My wife said she's going to train him to bite me in the ass every time I miss a duck. Anyone schooled in treating butt bites?

He sure is a cutie! What's his name?

I recently added to my family too... a 30' Cruisers Yachts. She's from champion bloodlines as well! :) Her name is "Adventure Time"

I have a trailer for it, but right now it's at Stepp's Harbor View Marina near Colonial Beach on the Potomac.

It is so funny, my mom had a yellow "Sandy" and she went around 105, my neighbor has one that is actually a show dog. I was like, "isn't she a little small?" and that is when I found out they are supposed to be 60 to 70 pounds, oops... I guess the labs here in the western half of the state that go a hundred plus should almost be called Virginia or Valley labs. it seems like the females go around a hundred and the males go 125-130, almost twice the size they are supposed to be... Any way that is a beautiful yellow and best of luck with that little black lab. Just think in another month or two there will be birds for fuzzball to try to retrieve. Sandy once showed up with one of the neighbors non migrating Canadian Geese, dropped it at my mom's feet and it got up fluffed and flew back to the pond. Needless to say mom was not happy.
Of course it is in the last place you looked, your not going to keep looking for something after you've found it.
