Lost wallet including chlMy wallet has disappeared after we came home from the hospital. Providentially my DH had removed the debit card, however my chl was in it. What is the procedure for replacing a misplaced chl. Beyond that there was nothing but a few loyalty cards and my DL. I keep hoping it will turn up, but as it has been month and I have gotten all of Christmas and hospital stuff away it is becoming less and less likely. Any help from y'all would be helpful.

Re: Lost wallet including chlIf it was me,, I'd to go see the Clerk of the Court that issued it and ask to get a replacement.
As to the VaDL, the paper my brand new space-age, high-security VaDL came stuck to admonishes that if you lose your VaDL, you should notify DMV at once. url on the paper is http://www.dmvNOW.com "The Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference."

Re: Lost wallet including chlI have only in the past few days given up hope. I just got the DMV to send me a new one. Up until now I was sure it would turn up (there were many bags that came home from the hospital with all sorts of stuff in them I was certain it had to be in one of those bags. My DH is off next Friday I will go to the clerk then. I am just starting to get out and about and it really annoys that I can't carry until I either find the wallet or get a replacement.

Re: Lost wallet including chlI think I would still need an ID of some sort and the temp DL is not a pic ID.....anyway I have been sentenced to a weekend in Philly (husband has an umpiring conference and i "get" to accompany him). The last person I heard of carrying in Philly openly had a nasty confrontation with the PD. So I will just have to stick with the standby of pepper spray and a pocket knife. Hopefully I will have everything replaced in short order.

Re: Lost wallet including chlI don't suppose that you called the hospital and asked them if they'd seen your wallet?

Re: Lost wallet including chlYep did that...what I think likely happened is that my wallet was placed on a countertop and then in the x-mas chaos it fell into a bag or by a bag and was scooped up and trashed. Not a pleasant thought for sure, but the most likely occurrence at this point.

Re: Lost wallet including chlI figured that you were probably bright enough to think of that, but thought I'd throw it out there, anyway. New babies, with their contrary schedules, tend to throw one off their game, as I recall.
As for open carry with no ID, I recently read a case for openly carrying while leaving your ID at home. It may have been here. At any rate, I wouldn't worry about it. You have the right to carry, so carry. Good luck with getting everything replaced; I know that it's gotta be a hassle that you really don't need right now. "God Almighty created simplicity. Re: Lost wallet including chlHa! Wallet was found after I had replaced the VA DL. It was in a bag under a laundry basket. Additionally I returned from philly in one piece. How I hate that place. Seems like the roads were laid out by drunk cows, and no one has ever heard of a traffic pattern. Thanks y'all for you're advice.

Eh, it's the same all over up there, Maryland, Jersey, New York, all have terrible road designs (and the roads themselves are usually not much better than dirt would be).
