to be honest I have always thought the Kool-aid reference was more to Jim Jones and Jonestown and mindless cult like behavior than any sort of racist crack.

It is improv plain and simple. A viral gastroenteritis of the mouth by enlightened people. They think something in their head and spurt it out like fact. Don't try and rationalise it. You'll only get frustrated. Life is too short.

Honestly? There are nutjobs on either side. The problem is when they have a soapbox onto which to spout their positions. Not everyone is as smart as we gun owners to research the statements, and make informed decisions.
