Yes; and I have. It has been a year or so since I bought a gun via Gunbroker though and I just purchased new guns from FFLs that had very good feedback and lots of it.

It's like E-Bay for guns. You aren't buying from the site, but rather from the seller. Check out the seller's feedback - if they have a large number of positive feedback transactions, you are probably good to go.

The site is great, the experience is totally up to the seller/buyer, as said above. I hate the double FFL fees though!

Sure, just read the fine print like you would for ebay. Gunbroker and GunsAmerica exist because Ebay won't allow firearms to be sold. There are dealers and private sellers on both and if you treat it like you would any auction, you will do fine.

I have, with great results. Someone already mentioned looking for plenty of positive feedback, although you may get a better price from someone who is trying to establish that good feedback. Remember to do research on your purchase and don't get emotional and overpay. Don't forget to include shipping and the use of an FFL from a local gunshop in you math for example:
Brand X "Shootin' Iron" at Joe's Gun Shop $600
Brand X "Shootin' Iron" on GunBroker $550+ $25 UPS shipping + $40 use of Joe's FFL = $615

Not such a bargain.
So talk to the FFL holder you are going to use and find out how much he will charge you to receive the gun for you. Please understand you only need the FFL for firearms (a part with the serial number like an AR 15 lower reciever is actually the weapon), not scopes, parts and ammunition.

God luck and happy shopping and remember :gunporn:
Of course it is in the last place you looked, your not going to keep looking for something after you've found it.

Wow, talk about Caviar tastes! But that's sure a nice looker there, gotta give you that.

I bought a Super Redhawk on there one time. Turned out to be in very good condition, an excellent shooter, and a good deal. Fortunately, there's really only one FFL fee, the one for receiving, but you've got to tack on shipping. If you get a really good price on Gunbroker, then it can be worth it, but otherwise, I find it's financially better to buy locally...if you can.

Maybe NOVA Armament can handle the FFL xfer for you. They charge only $25.

If the seller takes credit cards, always use 'em for Gunbroker purchases, especially of an amount for a firearm (and definitely that one!). This way you can always have a charge-back issued if things do go badly.

Personally, I wouldn't have a problem buying from that particular seller. But then I've had pretty good luck on Gunbroker.

Dunno about that particular gun, whether it's a good deal or not.

I have purchased several firearms from this site without any issues. I go to the advanced options and search for sellers in virginia and have been able to meet seller and pickup firearms without extra ffl/ transfer fees.

I've not purchased a firearm on gunbroker but have gotten other things. I recommend using the site. Have had good luck so far. Pay attention to the ratings and reviews for sellers...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

That is a nice gun there. I don't know if you have any other 1911s of that caliber, but I'll warn you though. Once you shoot something like that you will never look at *cheap* Kimbers and SIGs the same again!

I've bought two things on GB. A set of CETME mags, and a wood stock set for the CETME. The mags were easy, the guy was local, we met at Sharpshooters, and he found a new gun shop. The stocks, well, that's another story. I had to bug the #311 out of the guy to send them to me. If you're looking for unusual guns like that Lady Hawk, it's a good place to find them. Run of the mill stuff, it's not so great.

On a tangent, there were two guys bidding on a S&W 1076, FBI gun. They had a bidding war, it hit over $1500. Funny thing, there's always another gun out there, just wait for it.

I've also bought some .38 Spl brass on there. Got some good deals and am now properly stocked up. Some sellers took PayPal, others needed money orders. Only once did I get ripped off, and that was buying cast bullets from someone, and I'll never buy from him again. Fortunately it wasn't a whole lot of money, but it did tick me off a bit. All my other transactions have been fine, though.
