We need to maintain peaceful methods of protecting our rights not declaring war if the Politicians use the procedures set forth by our fore fathers in the constitution to change or delete the second amendment that is not grounds for war that is our policaical process in action. We need not lower ourselves to tricks of the antis only using the parts of the constitution that we support.

you are dead wrong. First our founding fathers didn't set procedures to eliminate our rights, they set procedures to protect us FROM the government. Thinking like you do, "we should be peaceful while they screw us" is why they continue to screw us.

Well, I agree and disagree with both of you. Our Founders set forth the democratic voting process so we the people could influence the government. They also set forth the 2nd so we could protect ourselves from tyranny. The problem is that in this day and age any reference we make to employing the 2nd against tyranny instantly gets us labeled. Somewhere along the line we allowed the government and media to get too powerful.

Now if we attempt to exercise everything our Founders established - including protection from tyranny - we will instantly be labeled insurrectionists, charged, and no doubt prosecuted. I would recommend this conversation be tabled for now. Let's concentrate on 2 November. There is still a democratic process and it must be exhausted...think Catherine Crabill...IMO she almost nailed it...she just didnt finish the thought.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Well, the specific subject in question is kinda like your first girlfriend who told you "we can do anything but that...I'm saving myself"

We should adopt a similar philosophy...I think you and I have chewed the same dirt GS78 and we probably understand some of the same basic tenets...walk away for right now...

And I'm going to lock this one. Plenty of other things to discuss...
