Howdee, I'm moving to the Stafford area at the end of the month. Can anyone recommend any good places for the following things:

Decent Shooting range
Taxidermist
Butcher for deer processing
fur buyer
bow shop
Trapping supply shop

Thanks!!

I've seen nothing in this area for trapping. Haven't even run across a trapper down here. Knew plenty up north, but none down here.

bow shop

The only bow shop I've ever seen/heard of is up in New Baltimore. http://www.hoffmanarchery.com

Welcome to the area.

Fred, I'm late to respond, but you should also check out the range at Quantico. I'm assuming you're active duty Air Force, transferring in from Fairchild AFB? I posted a bunch of information about the Quantico Shooting Club HERE. (Scroll down a bit)

Or you can go to http://www.quanticoshootingclub.com for more info. The Range is another, closer option, but it's not the best choice. I'd say check it out and see what you think for yourself, though.

Thanks for the information. Nope retired in 2001. I'm a government civilian, got a promotion which required a transfer to Belvoir. Thanks again!!

Mac's Taxidermy in King George, near Stafford, just past the Stafford County Line.
If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking... is freedom.
