Howdy gang: Need to pay for an incoming HK53 machinegun (man am I stoked!) and need to raise some extra cash to help ease the pain of the purchase. This gun is a Powder Springs (the original and best MAC 10 manufacturer!) frame that started as a stripped frame from the 1976 MAC bankruptcy auction. I bought it as a stripped frame a few years back and last year, had Sam at Practical Solutions, re-parkerize it, and build it up into a dedicated .22 subgun. I have run several hundred rounds through it and it is a blast to shoot and with .22 being cheap to shoot, it is the reason why my other Powder Springs MAC 10 (which is in .45 ACP) does not get shot much. Who can afford to burn .45 ammo at 1,200 RPM these days? I am in N. VA and the Price is $3,700.00 and I will pay the first transfer tax (if you are an FFL/SOT and/or a VA resident) or to your FFL/SOT dealer (if you are not a VA resident). Anyway, it if sells cool, if not also cool. I might do a trade if you have something I can't resist. Here are some pics (my sad attempts to make fancy gun pics like on the cover of American Handgunner!): Without the booster attached (booster looks like a silencer) With the booster attached: Thanks for looking! As you probably already know...there would be only (1) transfer fee for instate and you do not need to go through a dealer to do it.

Utah,
Good point. That sentence is not so clear. Here is what I should have written:
"Regardless of whether there is one or more transfer taxes, I will pay the first transfer tax, and to a fellow Virginian, there is only one transfer tax involved"
Also, price is now $3,500.00

Sam's standard is 1/2-28". The pictured mags are twenty rounders.

Sam makes thirty and forty rounders, but - at least as of the last time I talked to him, which was about three weeks ago - they won't be back in stock until spring.

Man, you guys are great! I don't visit the Forum for a couple weeks, get questions about the gun, and you guys answer them for me while I am away! Correctly too I might add. You guys are the best!
The gun comes with THREE HK270 Mags and ONE 35 (or is it 30?) rounder from Sam which I will throw in as well (though it needs to be sent back to Sam because the little mag catch tab fell off.)
If you buy it, you can take all the parts (upper, stock, mags, etc.) home with you until your transfer is approved. I will hold onto the registered lower until then.
Interest heating up lately, maybe this thing will sell!
