WTS - Marlin Model 99c .22LR

Postby RSDean » Thu, 02 Sep 2010 13:28:09

Based on the stock checkering, manufactured 1971-78. It's a field rifle, a couple of rubs on the stock, but otherwise in excellent condition. The blue book suggests $125 ... taking offers too. Located in Loudoun County, I'm willing to meet buyer. All I ask is cash and a copy of your VA DL.

How many rounds does it hold and how does it shoot?

The tube magazine holds 18 rounds. To be honest I haven't fired the rifle, I got it last month from a relative who used it for a plinker. It function tests fine. Are you in my area of VA?

I'm near Dulles airport. Ya know, I need to get to the range anyway, let me shoot it and I can send you some photos of how it groups.

First, my excuses:
1. The trigger's mushy.
2. My eyes don't see open sights anymore.

Seriously though, I shot a 5 round group cold, filled the magazine with 18 and fired those with no malfunctions, then another 5 round group warmed up. Both groups 1.5 inches at 25 yards.
