Where did you carry today? V1.0

Open Carry and Concealed Carry. Where did you carry today?

Re: Where did you carry today? V1.0

My trusty Kimber Stainless Ultrac Carry 2 by my side(well, inside my side, really), went to Home Depot on Rt3. Go there a lot with no problems. Checked today and didn't see any "can't" postings. Also went into Wells Fargo branch on Rt1, the one next to the Cardinal Bank/Firestone dealer. Checked first but no "can't" postings at all. Just business hours. I know I'm on thin ice walking into a bank while armed, but as I tell my mom, "If it's not posted, it can't be enforced"(beyond telling you to leave). I take my carry with me everywhere I can and have gotten to the point I DON'T like to go places without it. Giant, Mione's at Town and Country shopping center and White Oak Animal Hospital on White Oak Rd have nothing posted either, not that I'm going to ask. Been to Party City, Lowe's, Best Buy, NTB, Five Guys,Petsmart, all in Central Park as well. I'll be checking more closely on outside postings from now on just to be safe. I can say Gander Mountain on Rt 3 is ok. They have posted that all firearms entering the store must be unloaded and locked in safe position EXCEPT those permitted to be lawfully carried concealed. Harbor Freight tools on Rt3. Pretty sure nothing posted there either. Bought an appliance dolly there two weeks ago.
7-11, corner of White Oak/Town and Country drive(I really don't think they care. The owner lady is real nice), McDonalds at Ferry Rd and Rt 3; nothing posted there either. Target and Petsmart on Rt17 next to I95 but I need to verify for sure nothing is posted.
My carry is getting to be like my kidneys: don't leave home without it.

CC'd around Winchester, VA. Ruger SP101 357mag. Carried in Gander Mountain, Kohls, Books-A-Million, and Apple Blossom Mall. Will be heading out to Lowe's and Walmart this evening. Carrying concealed, it didn't appear that anyone noticed. I do notice that I am more aware of others that may be carrying concealed. My son also carries concealed around northern VA and has not encountered any issues. Did not see any signs prohibiting my weapon.

I've lived in the Winchester area for about 8 months now and the only place I've ever seen a door sign is at the BB&T branches. There's been reports that Apple Blossom mall has a sign up somewhere but I've never seen any on the entrances I've used.

Been carrying a lot recently. My M&P has taken a back seat to my new Ruger SP101 in .357 Mag.

Been carrying the SP101 all around my daily routes, it's just sooooo much more confortable and easier to conceal than the M&P. I also carry a few speedloaders, just in case.

Carried concealed for the first time today actually ( just recently got my permit) around Spotsylvania Mall. Bought a few things in gamestop and such, The Cashiers i could tell noticed i was carrying (inside pocket of a leather vest) they kinda paused for a second mid sentence then continued. Then went to Gander Mountain and i know they dont care, they have a sign that practically welcomes OC and CC customers.

cc means no one should even know, right? ;-)

it takes a while to get it just right. a common giveaway for a cc'er is constant cover garment adjustment. hitching up a belt can often be a telltale, also. since i've been carrying, i find i notice 'carry' behaviors much more readily.

I dont have a carry holster just yet, i kept it in the inside pocket of my club vest. It fits perfectly except for the hand grip.
It is a Bersa Firestorm 380

Good day.

Man, I've wanted to post on this thread for so long, and now I finally got all my ducks in a row.

Carried my Ruger SR9 (OD green, even) to Costco, Dick's, Guns & Ammo Warehouse, and the tobacco store. Concealed in a cheapo Wal-mart cordura IWB holster with a thumb strap. Man, I need a King Tuk.

In my back yard, all day just about, while mowing, trimming (grass and bushes), hauling the limbs to the burn pile and crawling around in the grass cutting those pesky vines out fo the lilac bushes and in the garage working on my little string trimmer and my big push around string trimmer.

I don't see the point in CC, if you're going to tell people.

Mk4 got it right.

It's supposed to be a secret...

Anyway, I OPEN carried this weekend and last. My frequented areas. Without issue, respectively.

Colonial Heights:
Dances, of course
Walmart
Five Guys
Gamestop next to 5 Guys
Sheetz

Prince George:
Circle D
Food Lion
Bamboo Garden

Had my FNX9 two tone in an OWB master holster made for a XD 4"

Got some looks at 5 Guys, by patrons, the employees didn't even notice

Uh. You might have a point if we all posted where we were going to carry instead of where we already carried. But only if we also posted self-portraits and specific times.

CCed to Gander Mt. Went and bought some 5.56 that was expensive but I had some coupons that I used. The young girl at the register had a Gun Saves Lives pin on. I like her attitude.

Carried the Gen 4 Glock 27 today, around town. Went to eat, did some shopping and then went to the grocery store. Been pretty nice weather, save for the rain.

Took my kids for a walk around the neighborhood with my Ruger in a UTG shoulder holster. None of the others out jogging or walking said anything, but our friends from the Netherlands seemed a bit taken aback.

Welcome to America, y'all.
