forms needed

What type of "certificate or affidavit from the instructor, school, club, organization or group" is required to meet the training requirement for the va ccp? I just want to make sure that the training class I'm going to be taking next month gives me the necessary materials to comply with the proof of training section and not have my application bounced back to me

The two courses I took that qualified, a VA Hunter Safety Course and the NRA Basic Handgun Course just had printed certificates with the course title, date, my name on it and signed by the instructor. Both certificates also had instructor certification numbers. I think the only issue may be if the course was a very non-standard one. If the local clerk did not recognize the course you may have to get a course outline to show the course covered what the state required.

Every instructor makes up there own documentation, or they use a standard form if the training is an NRA course. It just needs to say on it wording that shows it meets the criteria.

We have a certificate that we designed and its never been turned down by any court.

Well, I'm sorry that you didn't choose us for your training, but I'm sure that the instructor you've chosen will do a fine job and will issue the appropriate documentation for you to obtain your CHP.

I could be mistaken, but I think the government organ you need to call is your local circuit court, since they're the ones actually issuing the permit.

I'm thinking that as long as your instructor includes his name and NRA instructor # on a completion certificate you should be good.

Honestly the date, the instructor name and NRA number, the name of the student, and the statement you've passed the class is all you should need. It's actually quite simple.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance... wait... when did that happen?

As others have already said, there's not a need to call anyone. Just make sure that the instructor says his cert has been accepted for the permit before without question and you should be fine. It should contain all the necessary info.
