Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?Ya’ll prob’ly think I must be the world's biggest wuss, right? - - A recoil pad for a .223? But I need one for my AR-15 that's chambered for .50 Beowulf. Because it's light and has than very thin buttpad, it bruises me a some. My wife worries that every bruise I get will set up an infection that will kill me just because I once had a little bout of osteomylitis that started that way and dang near did kill me. Bottom line is, I'm afraid it will be the death of me, but it will be from aggravation. My wife is a very conscientious worrier. Reckon she must be afraid I’ll die before I pay what I owe. She’s prob’ly right, too. So, where, if at all, can I get such an animal?

Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?Check with Tapco. I believe they do carry them for the AR & AK.

Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?Thanks.
They had one and I bought it for less than $11. Appreciate the info. "The Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference."

Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?I just bought a butt stock from Mako (Fab Defense) with a built in recoil spring. It cost me $100, but it was pretty cool. If you do a search on Google should be able to find. If not, send me a PM.
Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?It seems like you already found one but I saw a couple for sale from various retailers on Amazon.com. It is good to have someone worry about you too, even if it is aggravating

Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?$11 seems like a deal. $100 makes duck tape and a sponge seem like a good option for cheapskates.

when in doubt set it on fire.
Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?I'd personally go for a better stock, something like a LMT sopmod.
Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?Wow .50 Beowulf on an AR platform ! Do you have some sort of Barrett style muzzle brake on it? If not I would look into that to help out the recoil.
As far as a recoil pad, Look at Cheaper than Dirts or Natchez's sites [ Post made via Mobile Device ] ![]()
Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ordered it with what they call a "pepper pot" brake on it. That little skinny buttstock on the light AR lower with a .50 cal upper still raises bruises. I'll probably take the last advice offered and get a Vltor EMOD or LMT SOPMOD buttstock. I bought a recoil pad, but haven't put it on yet. It's gonna fit poorly and look a little cheesy if I do, I think. Re: Does anybody make a recoil pad for an AR-15?I know this is an old thread but if you were still interested in a break, check out king armory.
You will need a smith or machinist to turn the old one off because alexander arms apparently never intended for it to be removable. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
