sorry here i am talking about sheeple. The critical form of censorship disturbs the free flow of news that warns society of its problems. Without freedom of the press, a society becomes vunerable to censorship of other forms including religion, politics and morals. The media shoul alert citizens something is wrong with our government that needs attention and resolution. An aware and informed populace could then influence or force leaders to act upon that information to solve the problem. For such to happen, society needs to be a watchdog everyday to issue those warnings and alerts to government representatives.
The media has become the willing tools of the propagandists. They are corporate media, political and military propagandist so skilled that the public is often not even aware it is being manipulated or lied to about our country and the world. The primary source of news has become under control of a small group. The media monopoly that has lead to the systmatic failure of the news media to fully inform the public. The censorship is real and dangerous for the American people.
Corporate media executives seek to maximize profits and not inform the public. There are several methods including bias, omission, under-reporting, self-censorship, Media propaganda tactics include blackouts, misdirections, expert opinions to echo the Establishment line, smears, defining popular opinions, mass entertainment distractions, and Hobson's Choice the media presents the so-called conservative and liberal positions. all of which prevents the public from whats happening in the world.
"NATURALLY THE COMMON PEOPLE DONT WANT WAR, BUT AFTER ALL IT IS THE LEADERS OF A COUNTRY THAT DETERMINE THE POLICY. ITS ALWAYS A SIMPLE MATTER TO DRAG PEOPLE ALONG WHETHER ITS A DEMOCRACY, A FACIST DICTATORSHIP, A PARLAMENT OR A COMMUNIST REGIME. VOICE OR NO VOICE THE PEOPLE CAN ALWAYS BE BROUGHT TO DO THE BIDDING OF THEIR LEADERS.

Wait wait wait, no one else has ever had their guns fly around the house, shooting as they please, then ejecting the mag and landing on mags which load and then make themselves stand upright? This happens at least every other hour here. My house haunted? I'd call Bloomberg to exorcise it but he'd probably have one of his friends foreclose on it.
So rattle my bones all over the stones, I'm only a beggar-man whom nobody owns. Oh, see how words as old as sin, fit me like a glove.
I'm here and here I'll stay.

@Elijah - you bring up a lot of great points here, and I agree with every one of them. We all know that the media runs this country, but I think that there are far fewer of us that actually understand the depths to which the media has sunk when it comes to using bias in its various forms to cause people who aren't really paying attention to get a single "take away" from a story. As you pointed out, it takes an "Aware and informed" populace to keep things in check. Unfortunately, we are all so busy with our lives (generally speaking) that we only pick up sound bites and tidbits of news that forces us to think a certain way without us realizing it.
