http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/sil ... 40896.htmlPay Pal founder and early Facebook investor Peter Thiel has given $1.25 million to an initiative to create floating libertarian countries in international waters, according to a profile of the billionaire in Details magazine.
-snip- Details says the experiment would be "a kind of floating petri dish for implementing policies that libertarians, stymied by indifference at the voting booths, have been unable to advance: no welfare, looser building codes, no minimum wage, and few restrictions on weapons."
(emphasis mine) Looser building codes is definitely a moral imperative when building an ocean platform..... And just wait until the damned splicers start in!
So rattle my bones all over the stones, I'm only a beggar-man whom nobody owns. Oh, see how words as old as sin, fit me like a glove.
I'm here and here I'll stay.

Ha.... It would seem that you are just as skeptical of this "Utopia" as I am.....
It's not necessarily the ideas that they want to implement that worries me; I just cant think of one positive thing about the location....

Should be interesting.....................

I'm guessing that the Paypal founder wasn't the one who made paypal such an anti-gun company?
