And these morons are looking to raise the debt ceiling again. The problem is if they dont - they say - that the US will have to default on some debt. Well, this solves ALL my problems! I'll just rack up debt, to pay my debt, that I am already in debt trying to pay. And when they come to get me I'll just say; "Hey! It's OK, I'm a Democrat!"

The country should declare bankruptcy and be sent into receivership. As with any corporate entity that has exhausted its usefulness, the United states' federal government should be broken up and sold off in smaller parts to be revitalized but its new owners - THE PEOPLE. All unprofitable divisions shall be terminated effective immediately. They want to run this country like a business? Let's run it like a business - a failed, bankrupt business. Anyone ever hear the term "hostile takeover"?
The quiet war has begun, with silent weapons And the newest slavery is to keep the people poor, and stupid. Novus Ordo Seclorum

No worries - it was in one of those dead-horse-beating threads... I'm just agreeing with you! Don't think you could post that link too many times. Maybe we could force Congress to sit and tape their eyes open and make them watch it for 24 hours... or days... whatever... wylde007 wrote:They want to run this country like a business? Sounds like a plan to me... Would that mean that only the taxpayers who put into the system would get any of the parts and pieces left out of it?

Congress won't reign in the Federal Reserve/Treasury because, while they put on a good show blaming each other, the reality is that they are cohorts. The Federal Reserve/Treasury finances the defect spending of Congress in exchange for preferential treatment. The Creature from Jekyll Island is a wonderful book. It shows the Federal Reserve system for what it really is; a way of maintaining control through economic slavery. The end result is the government no longer serves the people, but will and has become their master.

And these morons are looking to raise the debt ceiling again.
House Raises Debt Ceiling By NICK WILSON WASHINGTON (CN) - The House on Thursday raised the federal debt ceiling by nearly $2 trillion [allingeneral: actually $1.9 Trillion to be exact], in a 217-212 vote, but at the same time voted 233-187 to require that legislation be paid for. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blamed the necessity for both bills on former President Bush, who she says put a "giant mogul" in a trend of shrinking deficits. [ Read the rest of the article...]
