Web server adjustments for responsivenessI have made a couple of adjustments to our web server in an effort to help server responsiveness. I know that there have been a lot of timeout issues from time to time and i think I have it nailed down. Please let me know if you think things seem to be running faster or slower or if you see any connection problems over the next few days.
Thanks! Rick

Re: Web server adjustments for responsiveness
You should be able to fix that by clicking the checkbox that says "Remember me..." when you login.
Re: Web server adjustments for responsivenessThe being logged out thing when you are posting can also be attributed to your connection itself losing connection and restarting itself. Meaning the website thinks that you have disconnected when, in fact, you have not. Make sure you are restarting your modem every now and then to reset that little sucker.
Also, this site seems to be running great for me. It also seems to be growing quite quickly. Can there be a MuShu group where I can a snazzy color to my name?
Re: Web server adjustments for responsiveness
I always check remember me, if I don't sometimes it won't remember me when I submit. I think it maybe in my firewall. I can get logged out just by changing windows within the forum. If I have much to say other than a quick note I go out of AOL and use explorer. One day I get away from AOL, but I have way to many sites I'm attached to with emails and that. You can tell when I post from AOL because there are no icons in the message, I can't see them. Explorer I have no problen other than I don't get emails there.
Re: Web server adjustments for responsivenessah, yes...the AOL browser causes a lot of problems. Part of that is because when you are logged in with the AOL browser, AOL tends to use multiple IP source addresses when they connect you to the site. This causes issues with cookie mismatches and results in you being logged out.
Re: Web server adjustments for responsivenessDude, AOL Browser? Really? Get Firefox or Opera. But please, drop the AOL and the Internet Explorer. Get into the tech age people. Do I need to start holding classes here on the forums for you guys?

Re: Web server adjustments for responsivenessYup, I love the spellchecker in firefox. And it seems to be sleeker and quicker than IE.
