Re: WANT TO TRADE 223 BRASS FOR 223 BRASS PREP@!
Same here.
Re: WANT TO TRADE 223 BRASS FOR 223 BRASS PREP@!Depends, what are you loading it for? Semi, bolt, hunting, target, benchrest?
Re: WANT TO TRADE 223 BRASS FOR 223 BRASS PREP@!
Also, what is your process right now? What tools do you use?
Re: WANT TO TRADE 223 BRASS FOR 223 BRASS PREP@!ok so maybe i posed this as an ametear reloader post, of course i have a tumbler, and tumble my cases, i just want someone to give me a price in cash, or an amount of brass to trade for 223 brass that you tumble, trim, swag, size, deprime those types of preps, the only brass taht will load without prep for me are RP cases, everything else needs PREP.

Re: WANT TO TRADE 223 BRASS FOR 223 BRASS PREP@!
If you are swaging, then I can assume it is military brass? That is always a pain, but only needs done once. Trimming is also a pain, but I find I can get a couple of loads before I need to trim the brass (max and trim to length are not the same). That right there will save lots of time. I have Dillon's large tumbler which can handle hundreds (maybe even 1k) of .223 at a time. I usually run a progressive press, so stage 1 sizes and deprimes, while 2 loads powder, 3 seats the bullet, and 4 crimps. That saves a whole lot of time. Add in Dillon quick change heads (so I don't have to set things up every time) or your lock in load and you can't make it much faster. Does that help at all? How much are you shooting?
Re: WANT TO TRADE 223 BRASS FOR 223 BRASS PREP@!
gunderwood, i shoot a TON of 223, my brass is mixed, but i get mostly LC brass, which is of course military crimp, i have a decent size tumbler, and i load with a hornady lock n load, i just dont have time to prep my brass! i can find a few people on AR15.com, and glock talk that will do it for 35$ PER thousand, but then shiping will kill me, i want to find someone local to prep up some brass fo rme! kEVIN
