Trying to find Ammo for my 50 Beowulf. Doesn't matter what grain. Can't find anything anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

All of the ones at umlauatarms are out of stock. Cabelas has them backordered as well. Cabelas says 1-2 weeks...wonder if that's just a default statement on their site or if it will really ship within 1-2 weeks...

I appreciate the effort. I have tried the local stores to no avail. I called Cabelas and they said it should be in on the 16th of this month. I guess we'll see.

If I were you I'd crank up a reloading op for that beast. I have no clue about the availability of dies but am sure they are out there. It looks like it would be relatively easy to reload...

Dies are available, saw them on Natchezss.com I believe. They had the dies, but not the ammo listed. :roll:

There's also a beowulf owners forum. You might hop on there and see what others are doing.

Trust me, I will be keeping the brass. I will look into reloading. Never done it before, but no time like the present.

I, too, wonder about Cabela's statements... I'm STILL waiting for some Win small pistol primers from them, ordered over a year ago! Got an email the other day, said they should ship in just 3 more weeks...

+1 on reloading, that's my #2 freetime consumer, right behind shooting, and in front of casting... then there's VGOF...

As for Cabelas - I waited for almost a year for some .380 ammo that kept being "3-4 weeks" out - so I canceled it and got it somewhere else.

I did just get my RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme master reloading kit delivered today... so I'll be joining the ranks of you fellow re-loaders... :clap:

I generally would not recommend a beginner start with reloading rifle brass but the .50 beowulf is straight walled which makes it easy. Plus its big which helps a little. If you do decide to start make sure you get a decent press and carbide dies. Lots of folks here to help you with advice. You can also use large pistol primers which are a little more easier to get than small pistol but you'll have to search around a little. [btw for NOVAns: Sharpshooters had a few boxes yesterday. They are now 2k short

] Also, bullets should be easy to find.
